Protecting your personal data is important to me. This website is deliberately designed to collect as little data as possible: it sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads no content from third parties (all fonts and graphics are served directly by this website). Below I inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”) and delivered via its network (Cloudflare Workers). As a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, and on the basis of a data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum), Cloudflare processes technically necessary data that your browser transmits automatically when you visit the site. This usually includes:

date and time of access
page or file accessed
browser type and operating system
referrer URL (previously visited page)

This data is used exclusively for the technical provision, security (e.g. defending against attacks) and stability of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, error-free operation). The data is not combined with other data or analysed on a personal basis. It is stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes.

A transfer of personal data to the USA cannot be ruled out. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; an adequacy decision of the European Commission therefore exists for the USA (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Cloudflare has included the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) in its data processing agreement. More information: Cloudflare privacy policy.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

This website sets no cookies and stores no information on your device. No analytics, tracking, advertising or social media services are used. Consent (a cookie banner) is therefore not required.

Animation on the home page

The interactive animation on the home page is computed entirely locally in your browser. Mouse or touch positions are neither stored nor transmitted to me or to third parties.

Fonts

The typeface “Manrope” used on this website is embedded locally and loaded directly from this website. No connection is made to servers of Google or any other third party.

Contact by email or phone

If you contact me by email or phone, the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number and your request) is processed and stored exclusively to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, to carry out the job.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract or performance of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry). I do not pass this data on to third parties without your consent.

For email I use the Gmail service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Emails you send me are therefore stored on Google's servers. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: Google privacy policy.

Contact form

This website does not use a contact form. You can contact me directly by email or phone.

Storage period

I delete enquiries once they have been fully dealt with and no further communication is expected. If a contract is concluded, the data required for it (e.g. invoices and business correspondence) is generally retained for seven years in accordance with statutory retention obligations, in particular § 132 Federal Fiscal Code (Bundesabgabenordnung, BAO).

Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

No automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR), takes place.
